AWESOME list. I haven't seen Tron or Pacific Rim, but everything else on it is amazing. Some of my favorite films. So glad Fifth Element and Titan AE are on here.

I'm generally not a huge fan of sci-fi but I did really like "Bladerunner". In my film class last year we spent a pretty long time looking at this movie which I found really interesting.  I didn't see Pacific Rim, however I recently watched Guillermo del Toro's "Pan's Labyrinth" and loved it, he's obviously a great director so I may check this movie out!

Another great video, and a great list. Sorry I haven't been commenting on your last few videos. Titan A.E is a great one, It was actually one of the first ever DVD's I ever bought, and it's an underrated movie for sure. i loved Pacific Rim. I watched it twice in the cinema. To be honest Blade Runner is one I was never really sure if I liked or not. In some ways I would recommend people watch the special features instead of the actually movie. The story behind the movie and what Ridley Scott was trying to achieve is I think way more interesting then the actual movie. I thought the movie was way too short and some of the ideas and the vision was somehow lost.. If you get what I mean. But as you said I can see why people love the movie so much, and it has some amazing visuals. Donnie Darko is another great sci-fi movie. The fifth element is a great one too, it reminds me of my favorite animated movie, Heavy Metal from 1981. Another great sci-fi movies would Gravity, Star wars, Ghost buster, Back to the future and Aliens movies.

Great list! I'm glad you put some animated films in there as well. Some other ones that rank in my list are Brazil and 12 Monkeys, both directed by Terry Gilliam. As for their "cult status", I'm not too sure, but I feel like they are fairly beloved by a certain audience of people. Big props for including Donnie Darko and Blade Runner.

Sci-Fi is my all-time favorite movie genre. I love soooooo many sci-fi films. The Fifth Element is my #2. I can watch it over and over and over again – a truebrilliance!! My #1 choice is the ALIEN series, especially first 3 films. Year, I said 3, not 2!!! Ellen Ripley is my #1 movie heroine! Other faves – Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), Brazil, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Silent Running.
Also, I'm happy to see the X Files movie in your list. I'm a huge fan of this "universe" too
