God Bless America is the first answer I'll give if someone asks me to name a guilty pleasure. I like it, but in my eyes it's a bad movie. "How great would it be if we could just kill anyone we don't like?" is not particularly intelligent social commentary, and the movie gets incredibly preachy at times. The movie's ephibophilia subplot, while never explicitly condoning statutory rape, also is just kind of uncomfortable and gross. But as someone who works in politics and comes home some days practically wanting to tear my hair out as a result, I can appreciate the childish fantasy of resolving the world's ills by just shooting everyone in the head. As long as it's understood that for all the misdeeds of their victims, Frank and Roxy are still by far the worst people in the story, the movie is probably harmless.

On my list would be "Freddy Got Fingered". Most people expect it to be nothing but a middle finger to the audience from Tom Green, and that aspect of it definitely comes through. But if you look past the obvious contempt radiating from every scene (which in itself is something worth experiencing) oddly enough, the movie still actually has quite a few jokes that work. My favorite is the sign the one guy is seen holding when Gort is returning from India. Mostly, I just don't understand why South Park is considered a masterpiece of raunchy humor when the same level of… shall we say creativity – in its mission to repulse the audience can be found in this movie, which has been called the death of comedy. No! Madea is the death of comedy; Adam Sandler is the death of comedy. Those films are shitty in a bland way; they're still dispassionate and safe even in their attempts to be shocking. You may not like watching a man cover himself in roadkill, but the scene leaves a permanent impression in your brain, and the utter idiocy and perverse reasoning that lead up to that moment makes you feel like you're genuinely watching a madman. Probably because if the movie has any sort of point, it's simply that the inside of Tom Green's head is a scary place to be. If anything, I think the movie might have just been ahead of its time as far as nihilistic shock anti-comedies, and anyone who grew up in the 2000s should give it a chance.

What about Australian movies like Muriel's Wedding, The Castle and Priscilla Queen Of The Desert. These movies are about 20-25 years old but there's still beloved and definitely have a cult following

Am I the only one, that when it comes to stoner comedies, think of Cheech and Chong and how they deserved more of a cult status too? At least, where I live, there aren't that much people who know it. It might be a bit old, but it definitely deserved more fans. I, personally, really loved Up In Smoke.

Change Dark City with Iron Fist, and then just remove Iron Fist entirely and replace that shit film for wankers (#shitfilmforwankers) with Equilibrium.

Finally, give the number one slot to a film that deserves it: Dark City – the Director's Cut

A great example of a cult film that does seem to get a good amount of attention that is also one of my favorite movies I've ever seen is the first Highlander movie. Most don't really consider it to be a cult film and often consider it a well-loved film in its own right, I still feel it deserves all the attention it can get to this day. The sequels…..not so much lol XD I've heard the TV show is ok, although I haven't seen it because I can't seem to find it anywhere. When it comes to the other films in the series a lot of fans were deeply disgusted by them. I just like to pretend that the sequels don't exist and I don't let them taint my love for the original….I mean ONLY Highlander film. ^_^
