It’s back! Year three of Pixels of Fury is upon us!
As AIGA’s Official Sponsor for Creative Inspiration, Shutterstock challenges each “Pixels of Fury: A Live Creative Inspiration Tournament” contestant to inspire every designer to learn something new. Reno/Tahoe area designers will compete in front of a live audience to conceive and create inspiring posters at breakneck speed. Under the gaze of local superstar judges, the pressure is on to answer the big design challenge: Whose inspiration shines brightest?
It’s an evening that’s all in the name of good fun, as well as chance to hoist the mother of all hardware — the Furious Pixel Trophy. A three-month subscription to Shutterstock ($709 value), blog and social media hits, and a $100 gift card to the Apple Store, and most importantly, bragging rights, are other spoils that go to the victor.
Calling all graphic gladiators who are ready to show off their skills!
Nine competitors will battle against each other in a live poster design event surrounded by a rowdy, battle-born audience. They will face off in 20-minute rounds at computer stations, creating original posters from a theme.

All competitors exclusively use curated Shutterstock lightboxes and Shutterstock Instant and Spectrum search to create their posters. They can add type, but can’t use any outside images. Everything happens live, with competitors surrounded by the audience while their work is projected onscreen in real time.
