Budget Friendly Tiny House – Fireplace, Big Couch & 2 Lofts | THOW Living

Bob from Titan Tiny Homes showed us around in one their amazing tiny houses on wheels. The Everest model starts at $46,000. This house is 28ft long and 256 square feet big, and it’s their Everest model. It has an upstairs bedroom and full size bathroom. There’s an additional loft which has room for more storage or another sleeping area. The stairs to the loft are super cool and contain lots of storage. Inside the stairs you’re able to hide away a small table and two chairs, where you can sit and eat dinner – very smart!

The house is made of steel stud, which allows better construction, straighter, stronger and more durable designs. With this kind of construction, you’re not going to get termites or dry rotting.

As with everything in life, first you seek-out something to serve the purpose. Then there are personal expectations. I think the guy's company has a good understanding of a large percentage of consumer's tastes
I am older (60) and I have to say the stairs concern me. I'd have to have a bedroom on the same level. But that's me. Twenty-something's would understandably appreciate this house's lay-out.

Love this! I like the French doors where they are. When you move the table out to eat you can enjoy the view from the doors.

I'M SORRY this unit probably cost a ton of cash like they usually do, and no LAND comes with it, so you constantly have to hunt for a place to put It! IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT A TINY HOUS RENT ONE FIRST, IS MY ADVICE!!!

I didn't see any place for your clothing. I guess it's roll and baskets, although having a job that requires suits I can't see trying to roll them. Love the house, I would just need some hanging space.

Like it. I do think a cat walk along the wall to the second loft would be very cool and make things very accesible but love the colors, the copper back splash. Great attention to detail and regardless of what other ppl say… the table is very creative.

GoDownsize, You talked about affordability, but DIDN'T say how much that model was. 🙁 Also families need bathtubs to bathe children.

I love how they talk about everying BUT the price… these things are outragously over priced… if they tell you the price they can't get you to call and try to rope you in. For what they typicaly charge for these boxes you can buy a very nice full sized house.

I'm not so sure about that Television above the heat. Seems that would damage it over time. . .

I love the copper in the kitchen. You can see how nice it looks from upstairs with the light bouncing off of it.

More windows at the top of the tiny house would increase access to the view and also allow for more light go into the the upper lounge area an the bedroom. The upper level of the house could have received more intelligent design and more thought. I feel like the design of the table is necessary complicated.

Love the Living room and esp. the formal fireplace "look". Also the spacious shower and bath.
Cons- way too many windows, ugly kitchen backsplash, patio doors are a no go (not secure), you shouldn't be wearing sunglasses when imparting true information.

GREAT DESIGN but with a few modifications please… safety rails for both lofts, and handrails for the staircase. The living room is KILLER with that fireplace.  WOW!  I'd lose one of the end tables to fit an L-shaped sofa; no need for the panel that conceals the TV, it's just something to hit your head on. The winding storage stairs are fabulous and I'm loving the stool storage but the table itself is too small, perhaps a wall-mounted flip down? In the kitchen I'd prefer a microwave hood to save counter space, but that's just me. The bathroom's fabulous with it's 4' seated shower, but I'm wondering if a tiled shower with niches can be done instead? Please add bathroom storage (shelves, wall cabinet, medicine cabinet). The sleeping loft looks to have reasonable headroom and the 2nd TV space is perfect. Storage along the back wall is a great idea but remember you will not be standing in the loft so you will not be dressing there either. Presumably there is a ladder to access the 2nd loft, is that mounted to the bathroom door or stored elsewhere? There should be at least 1 or 2 operable windows in the 2nd loft as well, to provide natural light, ventilation, and egress. Is the fireplace the only source of heat? I don't see a split-unit mounted anywhere. There is dead space on the wall above the kitchen cabinets; adding clerestory windows for streaming natural light would be a huge plus. Just some ideas to customize an already great design. KUDOS!

the finishes are beautiful; copper back splash and pretty cabinets! the fireplace is so pretty with that cool tv space over it.  I would be scared to have that stove w open flame on top right next to the space people walk past…. yikes!  I do like the fact of the steel stud construction.

I guess u could pay extra for all to be matching
This is a budget piece so it may happen with the different colored wood

I'd rather have a stack able washer and dryer, I'm in love with the fireplace, the table is a great idea, wow the bedroom loft is spacious. I would want a tub though and roll up shades for all those windows for when you want to sleep in.

Beautiful house but for me, the stairs don't work. I think they look stunning but I know I would fall on them. Also, there should be a way of fixing the table leg in blace, as all it would take is one wrong move and the table's going to collapse which is both dangerous and inconvenient.
