Homeowners are often faced with the decision of adding on to their current home or moving to a larger space. These next owners decided to stay in their beloved Los Angeles home and add a separate guest house with an office space in the backyard. The tiny addition is lacking a kitchen and bedroom, so it’s technically not a tiny house, but it has so much charm that we just had to share it with you for inspiration! We love the architecture with the exposed rafters, brick siding, and creamy wood against the flagstone terrace. It all comes together to form one extremely attractive building! Inside, the tiny guest house is one large room with a separate bathroom. The long couch can be made out into a bed and across the room is a large TV mounted on the wall. The house is also used as an office and so the long counter turns into a desk on one end giving the owners a sleek place to get some work done when needed. The bathroom is another impressive feature of the tiny house and it features a tiled shower with a glass surround and a high-end shower head. There’s also a vanity area with plenty of storage below or in the medicine cabinet above the granite countertop. We think this tiny guest house gives plenty of inspiration for tiny houses especially when it comes to adding architectural appeal to the exterior of a home!
