Constantine and the Book of Eli are two of my favourite films. Critics are just people and people have their own opinion. Don't read critic bullshit.

Also, shame on you for blocking the middle finger out, that's just pathetic.

Swordfish. Hammered by the critics but generally a great way to spend two hours. Travolta was especially evil in this one.

The Hunted was one of the UNoriginal movies ever. No clue what this site talkin about? Tommy Lee has played that same role for 2 decades. If gonna put a Cage movie on this list. 8 MM was much better and great cast! Majestic? Storyline used many times. Lol. Man there are real dumb people who work on this site. Cell and Vanilla Sky the only correct movies.

easy answer to why a lot of these movies were panned: Christian values. The media is becoming more and more Leftist in their views, and an easy way to have your movie get bad scores is to put pro Western/Individualist/Objectivism themes into the piece, since those(which were all spawned from Protestant Christianity) are anathema to Marxist/Socialist beliefs. 3 huge examples are the Star Wars prequels, the 2nd and 3rd Matrix movies, and Man of Steel, which all had Christ figures as main characters(with various themes such as immaculate conception, being a savior, resurrection etc.) and were all negatively reviewed and panned by media outlets, despite good box office performance and all of them sparking sequels. All Disney/Marvel movies are about dependence on others to achieve your goals as opposed to individual efforts and being self sufficient, which is why they typically praised by the media, since the idea of being dependent on others (especially the state) are more in line with Marx/Engal's writings

Vanilla Sky is amazing! Too bad not many people saw it or understood it. Every image is perfect, every sound soul stirring, every scene has a purpose. It foreshadows whats to come and puts little clues which make so much sense once its over. Its a perfect blend of sound and scene and acting. The camera floats on the music with the actors so perfect as if they are dancing with it. Its a feast for the senses.
Knowing, Constantine, Book of Eli….all good films. This is a good list.

funny how movies who depict religious symbolisms & occultism are automatically hated. This is purely subjective but to me Constantine and The Book of Eli are absolutely brilliant simply due to their audacity (IMO). Not to mention the fact that visually talking both movies are remarkable too. And we know damn well why critics are always negative….Why? Because somehow these movies actually denounced & exposed some kind of undeniable truth.

knowing was a brilliant movie….but then how could we expect critics to know that? Critics almost by definition, are devoid of intellection, or of reasonable opinion. Thank you! ….I'll be here all week. Try the veal

Constantine is a great movie on its own. But a bad take on a great comic book. I've found the rates on IMDB to be be on point they take reviews from and 100 critics and give the average.

Constantine was not a great film in any respect… Keanu Reeves is a terrible actor, always has been. The character John Constantine is so far removed from how he is actually meant to be portrayed in the Hellblazer comics, even the TV show etc. and the film leads nowhere, a total anti-climax – awful!

Knowing, another terrible film. Maybe had interesting themes, but poorly executed in the film from a shoddy narrative, poor script writing and lacklustre direction. If you want to see a couple of great Alex Proyas films then watch The Crow and Dark City

The Book of Eli, Super and The Hunted should certainly have been looked at more fairly, but the others really are bog-standard, forgettable forays into nowhere.
