Dominique 70’s Horror Movies Full Length

The wife of a greedy man comes back to haunt him after he scares her to death in this horror-thriller. He is after her money and must try several times before he finally succeeds. Because she is mentally exhausted from being frightened all the time, she commits suicide, but soon the husband begins experiencing her ghostly presence. An American Werewolf in London star Jenny Agutter stars in this spooky ghost story. A story of the macabre… with a different twist.
A millionaire who has recently lost his wife starts believing that he is being haunted by her spirit.
This British chiller is a film that clearly seems to have something of a bad reputation. I have to stand against the crowd here though because I personally find this flick somewhat entertaining and even thrilling in places. The story may be a little predictable and it may also require the audience to stretch their credibility at times. But, seriously, so what? Many films of this type have these types of issues. It may be no coincidence that its title resembles the French classic Les Diaboliques a little because Dominique is essentially a reworking of a few core ideas from that one but with a few different angles of its own. Its director is Michael Anderson who not long before had made the impressive sci-fi film Logan’s Run. Also from that film was actress Jenny Agutter who has a small but important role in this one. There is a smattering of other familiar faces from British films too. But mainly this works as a spooky horror-thriller. Jenny Agutter looks sexy as hell in this early role… It really is nowhere near as bad as it’s made out to be.

Empty grave at 50:00 I knew it! at 60:00 he finds her, eh? Cool plot.
Great conclusion, he drove her to suicide so her ghost abetted his.

The movie copy triple downs on the plot of the 1944 movie "Gaslight" in which Charles Boyer (the malignant narcissist) makes Ingrid Bergman (The Target) start to start to doubt her own sanity. Hence the term "gaslighting" someone.

The women back then were so much more beautiful. They were elegant and soft-spoken. A movie like this far surpasses anything that's out there today. Today's women are rude and in your face, and why, I just don't know. They do not even hold a candle to these natural beauties. Plus, today's women age so fast. Men today are screwed.

Good one. Subtle, low-key, Gothic-style horror for those who know how to enjoy such films.
Haven't seen this one before, so for me this movie was a discovery. Thanks.

Clip-clop, clippity clop. The whole damn movie is the sound of shoes clopping up and down the tiles and sad, sickening piano.
