what is the purpose of this icebreaker?

HI Maria, the whole purpose is to generate energy, invite your group to mix and interact, and most importantly have fun. Generally speaking, "shaking hands" is a relatively safe form of physical interaction for most populations, and this exercise emphasises some of the funniest ways we can greet one another. It's a favourite among many of my groups. Try it out, or go to playmeo dot com to view hundreds more just like this… Mark

I will be facilitating some children at a Water Forum in Ghana. Children from different parts of the country are going to be present and I think this is a perfect icebreaker for them …Thanks Mark..
