House in a suitcase: tiny home + 2 trunks of furniture

Original story here:
In 1996, Barcelona architects Eva Prats and Ricardo Flores were hired to convert an old community laundry into a penthouse. At just 27 square meters (290 square feet), the space was minimal; it was also just a temporary home and the clients wanted a home that was maintenance-free.
Prats and Flores (in collaboration with the Mallorcan architectural firm Duch-Pizà) delivered their solution in the form of two suitcases. Their “Casa en una Maleta” (House in a Suitcase) consists of two big trunks in the center of the room which can be opened throughout the day to satisfy daily living needs.

I think this concept just doesn't work for this space. But I can imagine it elsewhere.

Parece sacado de la película "El Quinto Elemento", mezclado con una instalación de arte moderno…sin ventana . Excelente sitio para encontrar el valor que te falta para el suicidio .

I would keep the boxes open and decorate the apartment to give it life.

Too bad it looks so boring. This is the least exciting tiny house I have ever seen.

Poor choice of colour, material and lightings in an otherwise functional and interesting idea. would have been more cozy if more decorative ideas were put into place e.g wallpaper, painting, small plant etc.

Stupid and pointless. If the house were really capable of being packed and moved, maybe. But it's not mobile. It's just a cutesy idea that goes nowhere. Form over function.

putting the bed by the kitchen area on a sliding box serves no function at all, it is if anything more of an inconvenience because it's is those few inches larger.

a wall mounted drop down bed would have made more sense.

Why not place the furniture the way it would be used to get a better idea. Just leaving the boxes, suit cars, cartons (?) In the middle of the floor didn't make much sense. I did like the concept.

Could have easily just used a murphy bed and compact appliances. Maneuvering around those "suitcases" would get really annoying really fast.

So many short cuts here. Some of the edges aren't even sanded let alone finished!
