My Bloody Valentine (1981) Movie Review

My Bloody Valentine is a 1981 Canadian slasher film released in the wake of the popularity of the slasher genre that had overtaken the 1970s. Considered an example of the low-budget cult films reminiscent of popular slasher films such as Halloween (1978) and Friday the 13th (1980), the movie was filmed on location in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The movie is infamous for having had 9 minutes cut by the MPAA due to the amount of violence and gore. Though co-producer Dunning confirmed that the excised footage still existed, attempts to release it proved difficult as Paramount Pictures refused to offer an uncut version. Lionsgate subsequently secured DVD rights to the film (as well as several other Paramount features, under license) and released the uncut version on January 13, 2009 (Lionsgate soon after released the remake into theaters).

This film is a 80's slasher classic that I never get tired of watching plus i love the blue collar vibe yes the triangle between the leads works well the uncut sences are very well done your right about them trying the restore those sences on a blu ray.I truly love this film awesome review bro!

It's actually not totally uncut but the best we're going to get. The double impalement scene is missing according to interviews on youtube. Also, the film was never missing 9 minutes of gore. This extended version isn't that much longer than the theatrical version but it is missing some character development footage that I guess doesn't exist anymore.

I have a suggestion #1 when you choose a pic for yourself, make it look like you're not trailer trash or white trash or a red neck, most whites couldn't look like that if they tried, but every review you have, the pic shown to represent the movie always looks like your at least one and usually bordering on 2 and sometimes all 3 of those.

Also of the one I did watch about 1/4 of the way though (at most) you spent 1/2 the time drinking; even amateurs trying to look like pros edit that out.

Just bought the blu ray special edition online at Walmart for $10. Thought I would never find a copy for that price because it's going to be out of print.
