Shawn, I can not believe you did not name Real Genius. I know there were so many amazing Comedies and Movies from the 80s but Real Genius was just amazing and I know you must have seen that one. I was also thinking NeverEndingStory but that's not really a comedy more of an Adventure film.

Actually, that is one film from the 80s comedy genre I thought was very sad in many ways. Not just the nice guy finishing last aspect, but the total shallowness and total lack of any values. It wasn't even funny except for that scene with the Spanish prostitute.

Hey Shawn, Have you ever seen Real Genius or Like Father Like Son? I have never heard you ever talk about some of these amazing 80s films, I know Breakfast Club/Big and Uncle Buck movies like that are perfect films of the 80s so they kind of overshadow other 80s movies but those two are amazing films also, Would love to hear your opinion.

Would be hard for John Hughes to do anything he's dead, planes trains and automobiles should have been on the list, but I do like just one of the guys I haven't seen that in years!!!

Lots of great movies. I don't really consider "Breakfast Club" and "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" true comedies though. One you missed was "Up the Creek".

If you forgot to pick up The Goonies DVD off of your shelf, it wouldn't matter anyway. That's mostly an adventure film than comedy, but there are plenty of scenes with comedy in it.
