Plywood bedroom hangs as a nest over printed tiny Paris flat

Most of the kitchen and bedroom are crafted in CNC-cut plywood.

The small apartment is on the ground floor on a street without much light so to brighten the home, Coudamy created a sculptural “cloud” that hangs from the ceiling. He calls it “Nuctale”: nuage (“cloud” in French) + fractal.

Inspired by sailing navigation, it’s constructed of 76 frosted acrylic triangles connected by 206 hinges and can be manipulated to change shape and brightness depending on one’s mood.

It's a neat idea but I feel like there is alot of wasted space. The space above the bathroom and under the 'bedroom'. I feel like there is a better way to lay it out to get more use out of the space. Also @ 0.54, is that a window he covered up with that hideen space or light comming threw the wood?

you could have a sensor outside the window that counteracts shadows cast by clouds by intensifying the light inside, and that dims the lights when the shadow cast by the cloud(s) diminish and it turns brighter again outside.

I absolutely love this. It's a small space, yet it looks SO spacious.

from the opinion of a 10 year old so dont take it offensively but i love the usage of space etc. but plywood and the white walls that have quite some detail at the ceiling dont match up for me maybe its cause i prefer if its white its all white etc

the space under the bed could have been a long pull out storage space instead of the empty crawl space… though it makes a nice hiding area if someone breaks in.

i love looking at these videos and seeing how people say these apartments are so small and such. These places look huge to me. The largest apartment in my building is 18m2. Mine is like 16m2 and that includes the terrace.

Plywood will release formaldehyde into the room, specially relevant in a small space like this, and right where you sleep. I wonder why no one has brought this up. Would be better to use two by fours and drywall for the framing.

this one I actually like, I mean I didn't watch all the ones from the past (vefore I subbed but I have been subbed for 2 or 3 weeks now I believe. I like this one alot, I would do it. in ny this is style type big for a studio and thru would kill you first before letting you do anything like this but if you have money can only afford to buy a studio and it's around this size. this would be awesome,

I like it, except for the crown moulding around the ceiling light fixture. So distracting and out of character with the rest of the apartment. It's also not properly aligned.

A lovely big Parisian art piece above his sofa would be perfect and maybe some plants in his house that don't require much natural lights.

I love this guy's design thoughts. it's amazing what he has done with just 115ft². everything is functional and presents no inconveniences with it's access to it's functionality. the light sculpture is genius. all that light really gives a sense of openness not to mention it's quite beautiful. the place is the size of an American closet yet you receive no sensation of compromise. amazing!

could  have made storage  in the stairs. Also, the bookshelf with the middle storage/lid, make the lid open like an oven door, then more  storage accessable on the "underside".

O,K, please put a door on the bathroom, o.k.?? so, burglers beaking in can get to you in the bed or in the bath, no door to stop them. not very safe. just sayin.
