    I work for Ralph's I'm a cashier 20 years old and there is no excuse for bad customer service, yes there are those frustrating customers but at the end of the day you have a job to do an get paid for it and to be a exceptional employee you have to grind at what you do no matter the situation.

    This is nice to see, but I'm not gonna lie. The whole "customer is always right" thing died a long time ago. I've worked at the same place for 7 years, and I must tell you, that especially older customers who still remember this motto, tend to abuse it. I can't tell you how many people have tried to get free shit, use discounts they know are expired, or try to get prices marked down. Shit gets old.

    It's hard to provide good customer service to people that act like savages and think they can do and/or say whatever they want as if they own the employee. The customer is most certainly NOT always right. Sure, we get paid to provide a service, but we do NOT get paid to take verbal abuse and/or to be talked down to. We're still adults and human beings and I will always be that first and an employee second.

    I work at a Ralphs too (store #001) and I always try to make sure I give the best customer service but I am always pressured by my managers to watch out for dips and to scan faster to bring my productivity up, and that stresses me up and I'm to focused on the dips and my productivity that sometimes my customer service skills arent soo good. If Ralphs (Kroger) wasn't too strict pressuring cashiers with their QueVision program and productivity, I would be giving the best customer ever.

    At Starbucks the customers have to please the employees not the other way round. I used to go a Bucks nearby and joked with all the employees all the time. I had been going there for 10 yrs and knew all the employees. A new female employee didn't like it when I joked with her and she complained to a new manager of the moment who asked me to leave and not come back and I haven't. There was nobody for me to call or complain to about what happened.  A few months later they fired her and got rid of the manager of the moment.  Same thing happened at a Starbucks kiosk in Tom Thumb grocery store.  I don't know what I could have said but the lazy little bitch told the assistant store mgr something I guess to cover up for her laziness and he told me not to come back. WHAT THE HELL DID I SAY OR DO? I shopped at this store for 16 yrs and now I am banned because of some lazy lying Starbucks employee? All I order is a small cup of plain coffee with milk,  How taxing is that?

    Amazon has the best customer service I have ever experienced; brick and mortar or ecommerce, Amazon is clearly the most customer centric company on the planet.

    This is quite true most of the time. I love working for starbucks. The people are nice and the benefits are pretty sick. 🙂 We try hard for that customer service. And it's hard sometimes because there can be alot of difficult customers.
