We stayed in this cute little apartment during our stay in The Netherlands in April, and we really liked it. It has everything you need including a small private green garden and a cute wall bed, that folds down nicely above the sofa table. For the same reason the sofa table has wheels, and is made very low to fit under the homemade wall bed.
The bathroom has a rain shower, a very nice touch for a tiny space. The area around the toilet is very well designed with space for towels and other stuff. The door that leads from the bathroom to the kitchen / livingroom is a glass door, that lets lots of light into the apartment space. A great idea for small apartments, because small spaces like this need lots of light in order to feel spacey.
The kitchen is just big enough to cook a dinner and make a cup of coffee, before your day starts and you head out in the city. When you do the dishes, you can put fold down a small drying rack on the wall next to the sink. The owner has chosen to have a full cook top which takes up quite a lot of space, so some of the kitchenware is placed in the cabinets in the entrance.
You enter the apartment through a narrow alley way from the street, where you can have your bikes and stroller. As you open the door, you find 5 hangers for jackets and bags just behind the door, and you walk right into the main room, which is the kitchen and the living room. These two spaces are separated by a slim shelving unit, that also holds the TV and other stuff.
From the living room you can open up two beautiful french doors (glass doors), in order to enter the terrace / tiny garden. This little garden space has two comfortable chairs and it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the afternoon or evening. It has a green tree-like plant, and the floor is covered with fake grass, that adds a lot of atmosphere to the space.
The house / apartment is found in Den Haag (The Hague), a beautiful city in Northern Europe.
